Who we are
JamPro was founded in 2001 by Tony “Jamrock” Nicholas, who brought a Caribbean boatbuilding upbringing to the superyacht fleet in Palma. Two decades later the approach hasn't changed: obsessive preparation, disciplined dust control, and coating schedules that are followed to the letter.
We work around the rest of the deck programme, keep the site clean, and hand back work that photographs as well as it looks in the flesh.
More about JamProWhat we do
Mirror-depth high-gloss finishes on toe rails, cap rails, coamings, companionways and deckhouses, built up coat by coat, flatted between each one.
Tired, lifting or water-stained brightwork brought back to life without losing the character of original wood.
Final finishing for new construction and refit projects, working alongside yards and other trades to a fixed launch date.
Protective marine coatings and antifouling to keep hulls and exterior wood defended against UV, salt and season after season of use.
Scheduled maintenance coats that keep a finish alive for years instead of letting it fail and forcing a full rebuild.
Based in Palma, working across the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and beyond, we travel to the vessel, wherever she is lying.
The process
Every project runs the same disciplined sequence, the only thing that changes is how many coats the finish calls for.
We inspect the brightwork, agree the system and the coat count, and fit the work around the yacht's programme.
Failed coatings removed, wood repaired and bleached where needed, surrounding surfaces fully protected.
Sealer and build coats applied and flatted between each one, tinted and matched to the existing work.
Final gloss or satin coats laid off, site cleaned down, and a maintenance schedule handed over.

What our clients say about JamPro
“Tony carried out refinish work on Meraki's brightwork during various stops in Palma. The work involved stripping back, building up and finishing large areas and lots of isolated patching, tinting and matching projects. All the work was carried out inside the time allotted and of excellent quality. Tony and his team worked around the many other jobs taking place on deck and managed his team efficiently, all the work was done cleanly, well organised and of excellent standard. I would like to echo the recommendation of his company for any varnish projects, large or small.”
Mark Thirkettle MNI IIIMS
Master, SY Meraki
“Tony has completed two spells of varnishing work for us, including two weeks living aboard. His professionalism and dedication to the job shone through, meticulous preparation and set up, excellent product knowledge and a real love of the craft. He conducted himself in a courteous manner throughout and I would happily have him back for future varnishing work.”
Rob Russell
